Skid steers & compact track loaders
A compact machine can still fail a narrow deck or loading-path check. Keep wheel, track, bucket and complete transport widths separate.
Measure before selecting
- Tyre / track width
- Installed bucket or attachment width
- Transport height with arms lowered
- Machine plus attachment and accessory weight
Loading approach
Review approach and breakover, especially with a low bucket, trencher or forks. Select ramps for the loading method and wheel/track contact pattern.
Support & load concentration
A track loader and wheeled skid steer distribute weight differently. Verify the trailer’s support and tie-down arrangement for the specific machine.
Configuration traps
Cat’s 226D3 reference distinguishes 58.9 in over tyres from a 62 in bucket. Neither field should be silently relabelled as the other.

Keep the model reference, actual attachment configuration, measured transport envelope and support drawing together. A change to the machine or its loading position requires the affected comparisons to be updated.
