TRAILER FAMILY

Flatbed

A flatbed provides a continuous open deck and straightforward access from the sides, rear and above. It is often the simplest platform when load height and specialized loading geometry are not the controlling constraints.

GEOMETRY

How the deck is arranged

The deck remains at one primary height from front to rear. Compare deck length, deck construction, tie-down locations and the clear space needed around the load.

LOADING METHOD

How the load reaches the deck

Forklift, crane and side-loading access are key advantages. The loading plan must still account for point loading, dunnage, securement and weight distribution.
