Fixed-neck double drop

How this platform works

The agricultural ultra-low-profile form of BWS’s air-detachable double-drop family.

Two deck transitions frame the central well; front detachment is not a loading method for this reference.

Loading path

Air-assisted front detach

Plan crane placement, winching or approved rear loading around the fixed neck and rear bridge. Obtain the procedure for the exact deck style.

Supporting the load

The footprint must fit between transitions. Raised-centre, beam and flat-deck variants may support the same load differently.

Dimensions that govern this configuration

Usable support space, nominal deck spans and the overall transport envelope remain separate measurements.

The reference does not establish this measurement.

Documented dimensions

Still needed from the build sheet

  • Main deck / well length (nominal)
  • Usable main deck / well length
  • Main-deck height
  • Ground clearance
  • Upper-deck length
  • Rear-deck length
  • Usable support width

Ratings & support conditions

The exact build’s load chart is required. A model-family capacity range does not establish this configuration’s rating.

Tare, gross vehicle rating and structural load ratings describe different limits. None alone establishes allowable payload or legal axle loads.

Plan around the actual load

These applications identify what to investigate. Suitability depends on the transported assembly, support points and the selected trailer build.

Agricultural machinery

Which parts fold, detach or overhang?

Confirm support locations for implements; a long folded assembly may sit on only a few small feet or wheels.

  • Folded height and secured width
  • Dual-wheel / track support width
  • Header or hitch overhang
Excavators

Will the stowed machine fit the well?

Track footprint length alone is insufficient. Record where the rollers react into the tracks, and check side rails, outriggers and the position of the machine centre of gravity.

  • Track contact length and shoe width
  • Stowed boom / bucket height
  • Counterweight and attachment weight

Configuration & inspection

  • Ag and ULP are manufacturer family distinctions; exact configuration data remains build-specific.
  • Obtain the exact BWS build sheet and configuration-specific load chart before matching a load.
  • Do not infer payload, legal axle loading, production years or extension-state capacity from the family name.

Equipment selection requires verified weights and ratings, load support, coupling and axle analysis, securement planning and route review. This reference is not engineering, permit or route-clearance approval.
