Excavators
Record the boom, stick, bucket and counterweight in their actual transport positions. A working-range diagram does not describe the transported machine.
Measure before selecting
- Track contact length and shoe width
- Stowed boom / bucket height
- Counterweight and attachment weight
- Ground clearance at each deck transition
Loading approach
A front-detaching lowbed can reduce approach angle, but the tracks still have to bridge the ramp and neck transition without striking belly components. Verify loading supports and the manufacturer’s procedure.
Support & load concentration
Track footprint length alone is insufficient. Record where the rollers react into the tracks, and check side rails, outriggers and the position of the machine centre of gravity.
Configuration traps
A longer boom, wider shoes or a separate bucket may change the transport envelope even within one model family.

Keep the model reference, actual attachment configuration, measured transport envelope and support drawing together. A change to the machine or its loading position requires the affected comparisons to be updated.
