Can the tyres and articulation fit the loading path?

Wheel loaders

Measure the machine with the transport attachment fitted and its articulation secured in the required position. Tyre size changes both height and contact geometry.

Measure before selecting

  • Outside tyre and bucket widths
  • Wheelbase and axle weights
  • Roof / exhaust transport height
  • Bucket projection at stowed position

Loading approach

Compare ramp load limits and traction against axle reactions during the climb. The deck rating does not automatically establish the ramp rating.

Support & load concentration

Concentrated wheel loads need deck and crossmember verification. Record the actual tyre contact lines rather than treating the whole machine length as load distribution.

Configuration traps

A bucket may extend beyond the tyre envelope. Do not use width over tyres as the full transport width.

Build the load record

Keep the model reference, actual attachment configuration, measured transport envelope and support drawing together. A change to the machine or its loading position requires the affected comparisons to be updated.

Equipment links support research. Highway Match uses the measurements you enter and does not silently import a related model’s values.
