Step deck versus double drop
A step deck normally has one drop behind its upper deck. A double drop creates a low well between elevated front and rear portions. Single drop and step deck are common aliases, not separate inventory families.
Map the deck transitions
A lower deck offers more height only where the load can actually sit. Measure the main carrying area and the relationship to the front and rear decks.

A tall machine may fit in a low well but have no suitable loading path. A longer industrial skid may fit a step deck while exceeding the length of a double-drop well.
